a success at orange leaf!

well i’d say the week was a success. i think my family alone bought enough yogurt to sponsor a small village! 🙂 we all went multiple times through out the week, ahemmm, because we wanted to support the cause! 🙂 on wed the manager said sales were booming, comparable to summer. that’s pretty cool. they had the place decorated with pink balloons and hearts all over. we took some iphone images each time we were there to share with you all.

nori got used to going to Orange Leaf after dinner every night.  she started saying, “go get ice cream now mommy?” i told the owner he needs to open one on the westside, because i’m certain we would go there way too often!

there was always a bunch of people, and always a line!

though i thought the cotton candy flavor was good, i mostly stuck with vanilla and brownies! don’t be fooled, adam didn’t choose healthy toppings every time.

the owner came in and met our family on wednesday night. both him and the manager are super nice guys. they were thrilled with how well the fundraiser went. they asked the fam to come together for an image for their facebook page.

they were so amazed by the amount of people around the tristate that love ali. they said they would be honored to continue carrying the cotton candy flavor ALONG WITH it’s name. now that is freaking cool. i bet if ali was there to see her name on the wall like this, she would have walked around asking people if they wanted her autograph. for sure. ha!

thanks for everyone who came out. and a huge thanks to hyde park orange leaf for doing this in memory of my sister.  i’m not sure if i will know how much we raised or not, but i’m certain there will be a happy child some where in the world, who will be grateful to ali and all of you wonderful people for helping save their life. thanks!
